Casanova-Warrenton Pony Club 2019 Junior D Camp July 15-17 

Thanks to all who volunteered and participated in our Junior D Pony Camp at the Carpenter Farm in Round Hill, VA July 15-17!

Casanova-Warrenton Pony Club 2019 Overnight Summer Camp 
June 24-27, 2019, Glenwood Park, Middleburg VA

Thank you to all participants and volunteers! 

Youth members and non-members are invited to attend Casanova-Warrenton Pony Club Overnight Summer Camp.

Move in for equipment, stall set up, and tent set up will be Sunday afternoon,  June 23, 2-6PM.  Horses arrive Monday at 7:30AM and shall tack up for a mounted lesson start by 9:00AM.  

Gegi Winslett, Jen Moran, Janice Binkley will be some of the morning instructors with groups by certification level on the flat, over fences, and in the open. Members will practice skills for mounted and un-mounted certification and are reminded to bring their checklists to camp for instructors to note.

Campers will choose an afternoon ride each day from a variety of disciplines. USPC International Games Exchange-Team USA riders and coach, Matt Brown will offer instruction in the afternoons and practice evenings. Sharpen your dressage, show jumping, or cross country skills in the afternoon with a pro, and try polocrosse and chukka. Jousting practice, Horn Annual Jousting Tournament and, tetrathlon shooting practice will take place again evenings. We will cool off at the Middleburg Community pool and enjoy meals together, donated and prepared by our volunteer parents. 
Useful equine crafts are offered at the craft station 12noon-1:30PM.

Fee Schedule:  
$175 Casanova-Warrenton Pony Club member

$275 USPC member (CWPC non-member)

$375 USPC non-member

Camp reservations will be accepted in the order complete forms (including volunteer commitments) and fees are received. Registration is open to non-CWPC members in order received. Register early.

Note: Payment must be made at time of registration to secure your reservation.

Be a Barn Manager!    

Gain required teaching experience for your upper level testing and earn some summer income by working as a barn manager at camp! 

The applicant must be 14 or older and a C1 or up or equivalent. The barn manager will arrive by 8AM and work until 5PM. The barn manager will keep campers on schedule, perform safety checks, escort lesson groups to arenas, teach horse management skills, assist with tacking up and mounted lessons.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. The barn manager may commute daily or camp overnight in their own tent. Barn manager must wear Pony Club correct workmanlike barn attire; including arm band, helmet when assisting mounted riders, correct foot wear, no short shorts, no shirts without sleeves. 
The barn managers will be recognized for their efforts and leadership. A letter of recommendation for upper level teaching standards and $50 stipend per day or equivalent gift will be offered.

Certification Testing Before Camp

Want to test before camp and champs?  Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Glenwood Park CWPC will hosting testing for D1-C2.
